Pool Party

We arrived in Bangkok on Dec.3 and met our good Regina friend Gerry at the Gecko Bar, our old watering hole,. We've spent the last few days in Pattaya, a touristy beach town a few hours south of Bangkok where Gerry has rented a nice condo for some months. We are enjoying our stay on the 7 th floor of the highrise. It has a big pool, close access to the beach, and a great view of the ocean. The weather is hot and steamy, 35 C.and not much cooler at night

We helped the locals celebrate the Thai King's birthday the other night; quite the party on the legendary party strip of fleshy beer bars that line the "Walking Street". Hope to post a few photos. Of course Gerry has checked out all the best deals on street food stalls and fresh seafood outlets and we are loving the food. Crabmeat on noodles with chili for about $1. Glenn has been eating too much of everything with none of the allergies that plagued him on our travels a few years ago.
We are heading to Chang Mai in northern Thailand on Saturday with Gerry for some travels in that part. That's about as far as our plan extends.
